				<title>Scheduled Maintenance - 8th April 2012 [COMPLETED]</title>

On Sunday 8th April between 20:00 and 22:00, we will be performing some maintenance on our storage servers. During this time there will be some disruption to the service as the storage servers are briefly taken offline. We do not anticipate the outage to last more than 60 minutes.

Please note that we have had to postpone this maintenance which will now be taking place at the same time tomorrow (Monday 9th April).

This was completed as scheduled on the evening of the 9th.</description>

[15.57]  At around 3.50pm we experienced a brief outage when one of our storage servers went down.  Our web servers have now come back up, and we are investigating the remaining issues.  Full service is expected to be restored in 10-15 minutes.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

				<title>Service Outage 6th March</title>

This is a copy of the news as posted during the outage on our maintenance page. All websites were offline, webmail and client access to email was affected.

09:25 : We are currently investigating the outage.
09:40 : We are resolving an issue on one of the database servers. We hope to have the service running again shortly. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
10:15 : The primary database server is the root cause of the fault and is undergoing maintenance. Whilst the websites load, webmail login is currently unavailable so we've taken the decision to show this page instead to alert all members to the outage. We'll give regular updates here as the work progresses. 
10:30 : The primary database server is still rebuilding, we hope to have an ETA for you in 5 minutes.
10:35 : The corruption of the database is contained to a single section (called a "table"). We're working on a fix that should see the server restored shortly that will effectively wipe the table temporarily whilst we restore its data in the background at a later date. 
11:00 : Normal service expected shortly, we will update again in 5 minutes.
11:05 : Primary database back online, final checks now occurring. Website access (along with webmail and client access) will be restored shortly.

				<title>Helpdesk Issues</title>

[09.54]  As of around 2pm yesterday (14th February 2012), problems with a server here in the office (nothing to do with the servers running the email service) have prevented us from being able to access our helpdesk.  

Unfortunately this means there may be a slight delay in responding to help queries.

We are still investigating the cause of the issue at the moment, and hope for normal service to be resumed as soon as possible.</description>

				<title>Intermittent Connectivity Issues [Resolved]</title>

Over the weekend some members might have experienced issues such as slow connection speed and dropouts.  We have now discovered that this is due to one of our web servers not maintaining the correct time, and so it fell out of line with the rest of the system.  

The issue has now been resolved.  However, if you continue to experience further problems, please let us know at  help@aluminati.net.

				<title>Unplanned outage - 22nd January 2012</title>

[16:30] At 16:10 today there was an outage that affected all areas of the service.
One of the storage servers had crashed and needed to be rebooted. The server is now back online and checks are currently being done to make sure that the service is running normally again.

				<title>Intermittent connection dropouts - 21-Jan-2012</title>

[22:10] We are currently experiencing intermittent dropouts on web and mail connections. This appears to be linked to dropouts which were seen several hours ago, but which we believed had been resolved after a reboot of one of the servers. 
We are looking into this issue and will resolve it as soon as possble.
[02:40] We think we have now found the cause of the dropouts and have made a couple of adjustments on the web servers which should resolve the issue. We will monitor the servers over the next day to make sure.</description>
